News from "Around the Farm"

The summer of 2006 was a very busy time for us.  We were expecting babies!!
Two and Four legged.  The weather was not too kind to us pregnant ladies.

Our Pregnant Girls!
On July 20th, 2006 Snoopy's first foal arrived.  My friend/assistant (turned horse midwife) Rachael and I had been on foal watch for a couple weeks
with Pebbles' due date getting close.  I myself was due two weeks from Pebbles due date, so this could have been very exciting for all.  Every few
hours, all night long the foal buzzer would go off and Joe and Rachael and I would rush out to the barn thinking ok this is it.... nothing.  On July 20th
a day shaping up to be close to 100 degrees, I checked on Pebbles before leaving for work.  Same as the night before, no baby today.  Ten in the
morning Rachael calls, "Um Kim, the buzzer went off and Pebbles is down, she's having the baby."  I rush home from work and missed all of it!!
Luckily Rachael was there to assist Pebbles should the need arise, but everything went just fine and we have a beautiful little filly, named "
Lucy"
after my Grandmother, Lucy MacFarlane.  Thank You Rachael!

Jack Joseph Eubanks
born August 5, 2006

We never dreamed that 3 years (almost
to the day) after we met at a horse show
we'd be welcoming our first child into
the world.  We are so blessed to have a
healthy son.  Jack is named after my
Grandfather, Jack MacFarlane.
